We provide free high quality care & support to people who are terminally ill.

Story

On Sunday 21st August 2022 me and my sisters partner, Tom, are tackling the challenge of running the Two Tunnels marathon in Bath. We want to take this as an opportunity to raise money for a charity very close to Tom’s family - Hospiscare.

In December last year Tom and his family had the devastating news that their Dad, Husband and beloved friend, Martin Green, was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer with a prognosis of 2-3 months. Sadly Martin passed away just a short while after the diagnosis, during such a dark time the Hospiscare Team supported the family with home visits and full time care and support not just for Martin but for the whole family both during and after his passing.

We cannot stress more the value of this charity, they have been truly amazing. This charity only exists due to the kind donations of others. We hope that we can raise money so that other families can have the opportunity to experience the care and support that the family have had, and continue to do so.

If you live in Exeter, Mid or East Devon, Hospiscare is your local adult hospice charity. Should you or a loved one need care for any type of terminal illness, our professional team of doctors and nurses are here to help. Our services are provided irrespective of race, religion, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, diagnosis or place of national origin.
