We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Last year I ran the Colour Run to raise money for the NSPCC and this year I'm taking it to the next level! Somehow I've ended up agreeing to to jump out of a plane to raise even more money for them! I have never (apart from when I was 18 months old - which I don't remember) even been in a plane so it is crazy to think I'll be jumping out of one! But it's all in aid of a good cause to make sure the NSPCC can continue their amazing work for children and young people, so please donate if you can!

The NSPCC had been a huge part of my life in the past 4 years through both being supported by Childline and  volunteering with their Participation Unit where I've had a chance to give back! I have struggled with anxiety, panic attacks, self-harm and low mood since around the age of 14. Childline played a massive part in my recovery and were the reason I was able to seek professional help. At it's worst I was unable to stay in lessons due to panic attacks, meaning that I became very isolated and daily life became a massive struggle. I contacted Childline through their 1-2-1 chat because I felt unable to talk about it in person. With their amazing help and support I finally felt able to ask for help and had a voice again. Childline still remained a massive part of my support network throughout my recovery and I am forever grateful for all they do!

I'm so terrified but also so excited! Bring on October!
