Fundraising for International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals (IAPWA)
Story
On the 4th November 2018, Natalie Georgiou and I will be running our first ever marathon in New York! We have often spoken about how we would like to run a marathon for charity, (typically after a few glasses of wine) but the talking has now turned to action and if you are going to do your first marathon, it may as well be in New York City!!
As many of you know, I can barely walk up the escalators on the London underground, let alone run 26.2 miles! This is a huge challenge for me and I would really appreciate if you could dig deep and help me prove that all my training has been worthwhile.
I will be raising money for a wonderful cause - IAPWA (International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals). This is a very small, UK - registered charity that is dedicated to creating a better future for animals in need all over the world. The team works tirelessly to give the animals, the love and kindness they so deserve, and they cannot do it without your help. Those who know me well, know that I am a HUGE animal lover, so I am very proud to support IAPWA's efforts and hard work.
Through their projects and partnerships they provide veterinary care and support to thousands of animals every year. They also focus on education and working with the governing authorities to achieve long term change and greater protection for animals in need.
Please support my challenge and change the lives of animals that need help worldwide.
All donations made will be most gratefully received. Every pound will keep me going when times get tough on the long slog towards that famous finish line.
