Story

On the 3rd September 2016, I was seriously injured when my dad's car in which I was the front seat passenger was struck by a stolen vehicle being chased by police at a speed in excess of 80 mph. I had been having a great day, sailing with Liverpool Yacht Club and had just left home to pick up my brother Josh when it happened at just before 5pm.  I was rushed to Alder Hey Hospital where I remained for a month.  In the blink of an eye, everything changed for me.  I went from being a very active, healthy girl to being bedridden.  Everyone at Alder Hey - where I continue to receive treatment - has been amazing.  Although there are so many people I want to thank from the moment this happened, I would in the meantime like to say thanks to and acknowledge everything the staff at Alder Hey have done for me and my family.  I am getting stronger daily with my ultimate aim being to walk again unaided and maybe in the not so distant future get back to doing the things I enjoy the most - dancing and sailing.  I am hoping to make something positive out of a terrible situation and help those who find themselves in similar unexpected predicaments.
