Great Manchester Run 2016 · 22 May 2016 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 22nd May I will be running the Great Manchester 10k run with about 1000 other students from the University of Manchester as a purple wave. This will be the first 10k run that I will have run, making it a great challenge.

The charity I will be running for is the Alzheimer's Society. There is currently no cure for Alzheimer's but any money I raise will help to support people with dementia, their carers and fund research to help discover a cure. Dementia affects so many people, 1 in 3 people over the age of 65 will develop the disease, so I'm sure most of you will know someone affected  by it. https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/

Any donation  will be greatly appreciated. :)
