I first heard about Raleigh International's amazing work in Costa Rica and Nicaragua when I travelled to Central America in 2007 to meet up with a friend who had just completed one of their projects.I was inspired and knew that this was something I needed to do!

I learned about the communities in Nicaragua who are struggling to recover from dicatorship and civil war which has left the economy in peaces. one of the largest hurricanes recorded, Hurricane Mitch in 1988 which destroyed homes, towns, villages and crops. It is now one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere.

Raleigh international have been working within these communites Building Schools and Community Centres for the past 8 years on 200 projects and there has been an incrediable improvement so far.
