Story

Hi everyone,

I am raising money for the Addison's Disease Self-Help Group to help raise awareness of the disease. By doing this I am hoping to help people gain more knowledge about it, as when my mum was younger she found out she had the disease but the GP wasn't able to diagnose what was wrong with her initially, as the disease is very rare. Luckily the Doctors were able to find the problem and diagnose it as Addison's disease.  However, some people are not so lucky and only a few days later on the news a young boy died from Addison's disease, as doctors were unable to diagnose it in time for him.  This could have easily been prevented if there was more knowledge about the disease. As time has gone on knowledge of the disease has grown but with your donations this knowledge will be able to grow further.

Any donations will be highly appreciated.
