On Saturday 26th March 2016 I will compete in a Heavyweight Boxing Match at the Lord Hill Hotel, Shrewsbury.

This will be part of a special Shrewsbury v Telford Charity (rematch) event to raise money for the Severn Hospice. I will be competing for the Shrewsbury team.

Unfortunately I have never met anyone unaffected by cancer be it themselves, family, or friends.

Friends of mine have benefitted from the great work of the Severn Hospice in caring for their own relatives.

The Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNC) at the Severn Hospice provide specialist advice and care to patients and those closest to them on the physical and phychological effects of living with cancer.

They also provide support and advice to other professionals caring for patients with other life limiting illnesses.

To honour your donation I will:

- Undertake 13 weeks of gruelling training.

- Go 'Dry' for this period and give up my beloved Guinness!

- Compete in a heavyweight boxing match on 26th March 2016.
