Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the evening of April 22nd, 2013 my wife went into labour with our first child, Ziggy, he was moving and interacting with us at the start of the labour but by the time we reached the hospital he had passed away. He was stillborn on the morning of the 23rd, April 2013. He would have been four years old in a few weeks. We miss him every day.

In the autumn of 2013, my wife pregnant again, I ran the Cardiff Half Marathon and was able to raise funds for SANDS. SANDS do vital work, providing support to families (including us) in grieving for their lost children, helping them through future pregnancies and lobbying government for better NHS maternity care. We are lucky enough to have our rainbow child (AKA Button) who is now nearly three.

This year (2017), as we hope for a double rainbow in July, I have decided to put my running shoes on again and will be attempting to raise some  money for SANDS throughout the year. This starts on April 2nd with the Cardiff Bay 10k.

If you can spare some cash, I’d really appreciate it.
