Story

My friend Ness sadly passedaway on 3rd March.

So I want to do something inhis memory where I can raise money for a charity of Ness's family'schoice. They have asked if I could raise money for the RENAL UNIT atQA hospital this is where Ness spent a lot of his time over the past 3 years forhours each week, becoming a second home to him and his family, the staff there were trulyamazing and have become good friends. It is also where alot of us got to say our last good bye to Ness and I will never forget his lastwords to me "BIXY how are ya" (Ness all over more concerned on how Iwas).

The Renal unit is very gratefulfor all donations and has lots of use for the money. Including, decoration ofthe day room to ensure this is welcoming for patients and relatives to use, organizingpatient education evenings, of which Consultants and Surgeons can give theirtime to meet with patients and relatives in areas within renal, fromtransplantation to peritoneal dialysis, to provide advice and guidance in afriendlier, less busy hospital environment. The donations received will helpfund these sessions, and provide refreshments and a meeting room outside of thehospital. There is also money needed for a BCM machine, which is a machine usedby the home dialysis team to help community patients with fluid assessment andfluid removal on dialysis, and is helpful for those with cardiac issues ordifficult to control blood pressure.

So with all the above in mind Ihave decided to do an Olympic triathlon (600M swim, 42K bike ride & 10Krun) http://www.active.com/chichester-westsussex/triathlon/races/natures-way-foods-chichester-triathlon-series-adult-olympic-distance-2017

I will be doing it on Sunday 9th July. I have never done a triathlonbefore but am very determined and will start my training straight away.

Please donate/share and show yoursupport in memory of Ness and for the great RENAL unit that have been by Ness'sside these past few years.

Thank you

BIXY
