Fundraising for The Toy Appeal - Give a Child a Christmas
raised of £1,000 target
We Provide Christmas toy sacks to disadvantaged children in the UK

I think it’s safe to say that 2020 has been a challenging one. People have lost their jobs, families are using food banks more than previous years and some families have been struggling financially.

Lou and myself are key workers however we see ourselves as being fortunate. We have job security, a luxury other families haven’t had.

We have therefore decided to raise money for The Toy Appeal.

No child should go without a Christmas especially after the year we are having.

We need your help to ensure that every child gets the Christmas they deserve.

The toy appeal provides underprivileged children with a Christmas sack who would otherwise have no presents to open on Christmas morning.

Each £25 raised will supply a Christmas sack for a child.

Each child receives a red sack with their name on and is made specific to the child’s age and any special needs.

On average, each child will receive 8 carefully selected different items in their toy sack.

1) A main present appropriate to the child’s age.

2) A stocking filler.

3) Board game or puzzle.

4) Books x2.

5) Arts and crafts item.

6) A teddy (age appropriate)

7) A ball/sports item.

We sent out a survey for people to vote on what challenge Lou undertook and there was a joint winner. The winning events are: Lou being gunged wearing a fancy dress policewoman costume and a 100km exercise bike ride in 24 hours. With there being no overall winner this left us with a decision to make. We have therefore decided that both events will take place.

Lou will be gunged wearing a fancy dress policewoman costume and both of us will undertake the 100KM exercise bike ride. Between us we will take turns riding until we complete the 100KM although instead of doing it over a 24 hour period we will complete the 100KM non stop.

Please donate whatever you can afford to change a child’s Christmas and bring a smile to their face.

Thank you.

Now we have it the 750 pound mark and Neil is also going in the gunge we are now going for a grand.

Thank you for all your support.
