Hi guys,

My name is Neil buckley, I am 36 Years old and live in South shields with my wife, Leanne and 2 boys, Rhys and Kai.

I am pleading for your help in giving as much as you can to help me raise money for the Charlie cookson foundation.

The Charlie Cookson Foundation was created in 2013 after Charlie’s parents spent two and half years fighting for a better quality of life for their son.

Sarah and Christopher Cookson had to reduce their working hours to care for Charlie full-time and know only too well how difficult it can be coping with the stresses and strains of everyday life on top of caring for a seriously ill child.

When their worst nightmare came true and Charlie passed away, they set up the Charlie Cookson Foundation in his honour to offer financial support to families of children with serious illnesses.

 Charlie was born on the 13th April 2011. He was a brave little boy who had fought and survived Ecoli, Meningitis and Pseudomonas four times by the age of six months.

Right, On to the challenge!. In August 2015 I will set off to attempt the challenge of a lifetime. Over 1000 mile to Paris and back within 10 days, in the saddle of a road bike! The funny thing is, I have never been on a road bike in my life, Nor am I a keen cyclist. The furthest I have been on any bike is to the local shops and back on my mountain bike, which is about 1000 yards in total.

so this challenge is gonna hurt my whole body, and I am prepared to put myself through the months of hard training, blood, sweat and tears to help this amazing charity. All I ask from you is the support in helping me raise as much money as possible either through this page of directly through the Charlie cookson website, just search for my page and donate anything you can to help. My target is 3000 pounds, That money will support 1whole family with enough money to care for there child for 1 month without having to worry about loosing there jobs.
