As you know I like a challenge and I also like to do my bit to raise money for good causes.
This year I have decided to raise sponsorship for Labradors in Need (LIN), they are a small volunteer run charity supporting Labradors in Need of rescue across the UK, having helped LIN with transport runs and fostering in the past I know how vital funding is for them. Visit them at http://labradorsinneed.co.uk
So, the challenge(s) I will undertake to raise the money .... I decided it had to be big and difficult to do, so i have entered the London to Brighton challenge, not to cycle it, or to walk it, but to attempt to run it in less than 15 hours - this is no mean feat, it's 100km (62 miles) and along the way I reckon I will run 400km in training ... this training will include
Hillingdon Half Marathon (19 Feb)
Thorpe Park Half Marathon (26 Feb)
Bewl Water Ultra Marathon (13 May)
Then the main event
London to Brighton (27 May)
That's around 200km of running events and I'll possibly add a marathon in for April if I can find one reasonably local. To give some perspective on the magnitude of the task, in 2016 I ran 870km in 12 months - I am going to attempt to run more than an average months running in one day !
Please help me raise much needed funds for LIN as I do this
Note : all entry fees are self funded, all donation go straight to LIN
