The Archie Foundation exists to transform experiences and outcomes in healthcare and bereavement for local children and families. Ensuring that all support and services are delivered in a child-appropriate environment and manner.

Story

As you may know, my son spent many nights in the Royal Aberdeen Children's hospital during his first few months on this earth. While there I was truly inspired by the other children suffering from some terrible illnesses yet they were always smiling and well looked after by the incredible staff. My son is one of the lucky one's who now spends his days and nights at home whereas others are not so lucky and last year really made me realize that we should always feel grateful for everything we have.

I'm badly out of shape and decided this year that I felt obliged to do something for the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital. To challenge myself I decided a 2 day 175 mile cycling event through the Scottish hills would be a good start, followed by a 10k obstacle course known as the Banchory Beast race four weeks later  and finishing off one week after that with a nice 8 mile hill race 1500ft up Benachie.

Any donation would be welcome and it's really for a great cause.
