Story
Neil lived with cancer for more than 18 months, in all that time he never lost his charm, wit and personality.
He was adamant that he was going to live life to the full and always to stay at home, he kept his time in hospital to a minimum and once he was told the cancer was terminal he expressed the wish to end his time in his own home.
Once Neil was confined to bed we realised that he needed 24 hour care, this is when the Marie Curie Charity came to our rescue and sent us a fully qualified nurse who would sit with Neil from 10 pm to 7 am.
Everyone knows about McMillan and yes they're great too but they are government funded, Marie Curie relies purely on charitable donations, we didn't even know what Marie curie did, we thought it was a research charity, but they provide actual nurses to give real hands on care when you need it.
Let's help get Marie curie into the spotlight so we can help fund nurses for other people who need them, cancer does not discriminate you may need them yourself one day.
Please give generously if you can .
Truly Amazing Nurses.
