Story

The Neonatal Unit Families Group members Andrew Hall and Glyn Doggett are leading the challenge of rowing for 12 hours straight at the Lister Hospital on Saturday the 4th of March.

Accompanied by other willing rowers, they will attempt to keep a machine going for the full 12 hours.

The chosen Charity for this Rowathon is the East and North Herts NHS Charitable Trust and more specifically the money will go to the Lister Hospital's Neonatal Unit in Stevenage.

All of the families group have had children who were cared for by the Unit over recent years and it is hoped that this fundraising challenge can go someway to helping the unit that did so much to care for their babies.

Although the NHS provides high levels of care, fundraising and grants are vital in helping to provide and maintain the specialist equipment needed in units like the neonatal unit.

Monies raised can also make the experience more comfortable for parents who can spend months on the unit and previous donations have paid for Kangaroo Care Chairs and Breast Pumps.

Any donations you can give to this cause are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
