NextEnergy Group - Christmas Jumper Day · 18 December 2020

Meet Action Against Hunger's wonderful community of supporters, all taking action to help fund our lifesaving mission. From bake sales, to sponsored runs to virtual challenges, together we can create a world free from hunger, for everyone, for good.

Story

As we cautiously emerge from our second lockdown in the UK, elsewhere families who have fled violence and hunger in countries like Yemen, Somalia, and South Sudan need help.

Our/your donations will support  life-saving work of Action Against Hunger, a humanitarian charity that treats and prevents life-threatening hunger in conflict zones and many of the poorest countries around the world.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) has launched an urgent appeal to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in refugee camps and war-torn countries, where millions of lives are at risk. As a DEC member, Action Against Hunger is on the ground, providing vulnerable communities with medical services and nutritious food in almost 50 countries around the world. We now need your support to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and save lives.

GLOBAL IMPACT OF THE OUTBREAK

The coronavirus pandemic is affecting nearly every
person on the planet, in almost every country. Families living in war-torn countries like Yemen, Somalia and South Sudan are already some of the most vulnerable people on earth. Displaced from their homes because of conflict, they struggle to access basic medical services, clean water, or food, all vital to protect themselves from Covid-19. Self-isolation is impossible in these crowded settlements, where families are forced to share taps and toilets. The virus is likely to be even more deadly than it has been in the UK.

Thank you for your support
