Midnight COVID Walk to Wales · 27 July 2020

NHS Charities Together is a national independent charity caring for the NHS. Together with a network of over 230 NHS charities across the UK, we provide the extra support needed to care for NHS staff, patients and communities.

Story

Inspired by the efforts of 99 year old Capt. Thomas Moore (ret.) during the height of the COVID situation in the UK, who raised an enormous sum for our struggling NHS at a time the UK needed it's support more than ever, West Mercia Police PCSO's Niall Ryland and Luke Holloway are taking a trek in their own free time from their beat areas in Kidderminster in the Wyre Forest starting at midnight on Monday 27th July 2020 and venturing into Wales on foot over a 24-hour period, ranging past Worcester, Malvern and Hereford on the way. They intend to cover a distance in excess of 60 miles.

This is to try and follow in Capt. Moore's footsteps (not quite literally) in giving something back to our fellow key-workers, by raising money for the National Health Service that has kept going during the COVID pandemic.
