The Disability Law Service is a national registered charity that provides confidential and free legal advice for disabled adults, their families and carers. DLS also provides disabled people with a casework service. DLS challenges the inequality and poverty of disabled people by securing for them free and equal access to their legal rights and entitlements.

Story

Although many of you know I'm quite fond of exercise and the gym (and my gym gear),  I'm certainly not a natural runner. However on 23rd April I will be taking part in a huge personal challenge to run 26 miles through London.

I was privileged to be asked by the Disability Law Service to run on their behalf and help raise awareness of the incredible work they do.

Over 11 million people in the UK have a disability. This includes 770,00 children under the age of 16. People with disabilities face discrimination and barriers that affect their access to education and employment and prevent them from receiving the care and support they are entitled to.

Without the services provided by the Disability Law Service (DLS), thousands of people with disabilities would go without essential support every year.

It would mean a great deal if you would consider supporting me on this journey to raise funds for a great cause.
