Aspire Loch Ness Swim · 1 August 2017

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Hi, there, thanks so much for coming to my page.

I am swimming the length of Loch Ness, in 2017, as part of a six person team.

The swim takes between 15 and 20 hours , depending on conditions and each person will swim at least two legs of one hour each – around 4 to 5 miles in terms of distance. The water temperature will be around 10 degrees.

Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury; it can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire exists because there is currently no cure.

My fundraising goal is £2,000.

Any support you can provide would be hugely appreciated.

Best Wishes

Nick
