Fundraising for Help Counselling Centre
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and to everyone who donated previously.
As a local to the Grenfell fire in June last year, I immediately set up a crowdfunding page to go towards helping those affected by the fire (72 deaths, 70 injuries & 223 escaped).
Finally everything is organised and Help Counselling is the charity I chose which was created by Richard Branson in 1968 and became a charity fully independent from the Virgin Foundation in 2011. Help is a smaller local charity (based on Portobello Road) who have recently gone through significant transition in terms of their structure and their offering. Full details of Help and how donations will benefit them and those requiring mental health support are explained in this thread. I wanted to donate to a smaller charity in the knowledge that our donations can make a more significant impact.
The initial crowdfunding page raised £2,050 from 22 generous friends, particularly from my local garden square/neighbours. To add the charity I've had to switch the page to fundraising.
I hope we can raise the total to £10,000 closing at the end of January 2019.

£5 could answer the phone to someone that requires listening supporting from a trained clinician£20 could support our trainee counsellors with training and resources£30 could pay for one session of counselling for someone struggling with their mental health£100 could help us expand by looking for additional satellite offices within our community£240 could sponsor one of our trainee counsellors for one month
