Half Marathon for NDCS

Half marathon for NDCS · 6 October 2020
So the reason I am doing this is that, our wee boy Noah, who is only 3, last year before his 2nd birthday, we found out he needed hearing aids in both ears.
At first my wife Eilidh & I, found this tough as a family, but since the start of this year, he has been doing really well.
He is now wearing the hearing aids all the time, which was a challenge at first. His speech is progressing good & overall he is such a happy little boy & we are so lucky.
National Deaf Society for Children Scotland, helped us so much last year with charity events we went to, that gave us information & reassurance for Noah’s future & connected us to other families in similar circumstances.
To give something back I ran a 10k at the 2019 Great Scottish Run & raised funds in my work. I was planning to run the half marathon at this year‘s Great Scottish Run, but obviously like so many other things, the pandemic has cancelled the event indefinitely.
Because the run is cancelled, I am going to run a half marathon on my own locally & I’m going to do it by 6th October
Please donate whatever you can, as even a small amount, would help them just now in these challenging times.
I want to make sure NDCS can carry on helping families in future like they have done for us! Thanks for listening. Nick 👍
