In 2017, the Hockey for Heroes squad will be attempting its greatest challenge yet - walking 200 miles whilst carrying a fellow serviceman on a stretcher, and playing 30 hockey matches, all in just 10 days.

The squad will start in Cardiff before making its way towards its final destination point at the Lee Valley hockey stadium in London. Along the way, the squad will play 30 hockey matches against various hockey clubs. Whilst walking, the squad will also be carrying an ex-serviceman, Dom, who is a quadriplegic and will therefore need to travel in a stretcher.

There are so many men and women that work in the military to serve and protect the country that we live in. Sometimes these amazing people require physical and/or mental support when they return home from service.
