Raising money for TAMBA

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
TAMBA is an organisation that you may not have heard of if you or someone you know hasn’t had twins or triplets (or more!). It’s an organisation that supports the families of twins and triplets in all sorts of way.
Probably the most important work they do is supporting bereaved families who have lost children during pregnancy or after birth due to the effects of twin to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
As well as providing direct support to bereaved families they also campaign to improve health and developmental outcomes and fund clinical research to reduce the risks faced before, during and after birth.
I have two healthy energetic 9 year old boys. I’m count myself very lucky. When Jess and I found out that we were due to have twin we began having regular scans. It was at one of those scans that we were told that our twins had TTTS. We were warned about the risks that caused and were told that we could lose both babies, and that we should expect to lose one.
We were fortunate. At 33 weeks we had two boys, Daniel weighing in at 4lb 2oz and Jackson at 3lb 3oz. Other families are not so fortunate and have suffered heartbreaking loses as a result of TTTS.
My aim is to try and raise some money to help the great work that TAMBA does to help those families.
