Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After a couple of years of bad luck and ill health, I have decided the way to get back to fitness is by taking on a challenge, and this is a big challenge, 100km of a challenge.

Non-stop from Eastbourne to Arundel along the South Coast, I will be walking though some people will run it (if I am lucky, I might run over the finish line!)

Last year I had two surgeries, one for a hernia and another was emergency appendix surgery. And both of them were after me just getting fit again after having surgery for a serious lung infection. So feeling that is my three bits of bad luck, lets do something positive and help people

I am choosing RISE UK, a Brighton charity which supports victims of domestic abuse. I volunteered for them at Brighton Half Marathon earlier this year, as well as supporting them by being a DJ at a Stick It On event at The Joker pub in Brighton (Stick It On - is where anyone can be a DJ and choose 3 songs to play)

So please support me on this challenge. I will be posting updates on my Bright Green Penguin blog on how my training is going, and more information about RISE
