Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Please sponsor me on this epic cycle ride from one end of the country to the other in support of Sue Ryder - Leckhampton Court hospice, Cheltenham.

Sue Ryder hospice has a special place in my heart, it has been home to two special women who I have been blessed to call my friends. Karen & Sheena were both taken from us far too early and always in these circumstances it is hard for everyone to come to terms with their loss.  Sue Ryder is a place that supports the patient but also the friends and family that visit. They create a warm and welcome place that lifts burdens, raises spirits and enables healing.

JOGLE, the name given to this epic ride, is something I've always wanted to do and as a regular cycle adventurer it was logically the next trip on the list!

In looking at the options open to me for this journey I have chosen to undertake the vast majority of the ride solo; partly because no one else was mad enough to join me for the whole thing and my support (aka husband and kids) will be at work and school respectively, but also because I quite like the thought of it being just me and my bike.

Although my route is not yet fully mapped I expect to be cycling between 75 & 80 miles a day for 13 days to cover the 1000 miles of the route.  As I get into refining the plans I will post more details and also where I will be passing through in the hope that some of you will be able to come out and cheer me on along the way.

So there it is, my challenge laid out and your sponsorship is the added bonus for my efforts, which will give me much needed support and motivation along the way.
