Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After a shaky start to the year and my first proper running injury, the physio has worked her magic and I will be competing my first marathon on 29 April 2012.

I will be running so that a brave and beautiful little girl can walk!

Briefly, Mia was born at 27 weeks and given only 3 weeks to live.

She is the very definition of a fighter: she has constantly surpassed all medical expectations and, after a heart operation at 6 weeks old, she went home when she was 8 MONTHS old!!

Mia has Cerebral Palsy, she is profoundly deaf in both ears and cannot walk unaided but she is cheeky, always smiling and is loved by everyone who knows her.

To read Mia's FULL story go to www.justgiving.com/mias-missouri-missionOnce read, please come back to THIS PAGE to donate/sponsor me!

I am truly blessed to be able to experience the joy (and pain) of running, completing assault courses, climbing mountains and snowboarding down them and that is why I want to raise as much money as possible to help send Mia to America for surgery that will help her to join her friends at play.

Every step of the 26.2 miles (around 41,280 steps) I will be thinking of Mia.  Please dig deep and help a courageous little girl to achieve her first.

Thanks!!
