Nicky White's Brighton Marathon page

Our Mum was diagnosed with cancer in 2002 and courageously fought for three long years. She suffered the "norm" that cancer sufferers go through: mental anguish, operation, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, sickness, hair loss, loss of appetite, weight loss, sore extremeties and the false hope that all was in remission. She was very poorly for a long time but I never heard her complain. Devastingly she lost her battle in August 2005.
I had already secured my Brighton Marathon place when in October last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My cancer was caught very early on. I have had the operation and the radiotherapy and am at the moment clear of this dreadful disease. I have been extremely lucky and would like to shout it from the roof tops just how thankful I am. Please help me to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign to help others.
