Right now, millions of children are in danger. They face violence, disease, hunger and the chaos of war and disaster. Unicef ensures more children get life-saving food, vaccinations, education and protection than anyone else. With your help, we can build a safer world for children. unicef.org.uk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My goal is to cycle the 2000 miles from Vancouver to San Diego, camping on the way and carrying absolutely everything with me (tent, sleeping bag, cooking equipment, clothes, etc, etc).

I shall be financing the full cost of this trip myself so all donations made via this website will go directly to Unicef.

This cycle ride is a huge personal challenge for me but is the sort of thing I always wanted and planned to do when I reached this time in my life.  I realise that the chance to undertake such a trip is a privilege not granted to many people in today's troubled world.  For this reason I want to combine this exciting and testing journey with the chance to raise money to help those much less fortunate through no fault of their own, in particular the many innocent children caught up in some of the worst violence happening right now in some parts of our world.

Any donation you give to this cause will be greatly appreciated. I hope with all my heart this will help the lives of these innocent children in some way.  Thank you from Nicola.
