Story

This is my lovely dad Chris. He was my world.
Dad sadly passed away Sunday 31st January 2021 with mum and myself by his side. He had battled covid for three weeks, including 18 days on ICU and 15 of those days in an induced coma on a ventilator. Dad was a brave, strong man who really did try and fight for his life against this awful virus. Despite the best efforts from the incredible staff on Southmead ICU, his body could fight no longer.
My dad was an amazing husband, dad, grandad, brother, son-in law, father-in-law, uncle and friend.
We are all devastated losing this amazing, kind and thoughtful man. Our lives will never be the same again but his memories will live on. He loved his daily walks with my dogs around the marina, taking and picking up Jack from school and spending time in his happy place - Cornwall. Dad loved walking on the beach and would never take for granted the sea air he breathed and the view he could see. I will take on the values my dad had lived by. These were to never take a day of your life for granted, look for the positives and live for today not tomorrow. Dad I love you with all my heart and I promise to make you proud everyday. I will look after mum, Aunty Chris and “your boy” Jack ❤️
Thank you for donating in memory of my dad. I am sure he would have loved this, as he would have been so thankful for the care he received.

The ICU staff are incredible, so kind and compassionate right to the end of my dad’s life. You are all amazing and thanks for everything you have done during this pandemic. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️
