After 10 years of talking about it and many unsuccessful ballot attempts, Mike and I have been lucky to be selected to run the London Marathon for The Children’s Society. So after months of training on the 28th April we will attempt to run 26 miles... training is going well but it’s going to be tough! 

We are excited to use the opportunity to raise money for a very worthy cause, The children society help vulnerable children across the UK, they want to make sure that no child feels alone and have access to the care and support they need. 

A bit more about The Children’s Society: 

Right now in Britain there are children and young people who feel scared, unloved and unable to cope. There are currently 30% living in poverty. The Children’s Society works with these young people, step by step, for as long as it takes.

They listen, support and act.

There are no simple answers so they work with others to tackle complex problems. Only together can we make a difference to the lives of children now and in the future.
