Years ago my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer and I promised I would run the marathon to raise money if she fought the cancer. With tremendous courage, determination and support she has completed her mission; so now it is my turn to fulfil my side of the bargain. 

Over the intervening years Macmillan has also supported many members of my family, and people in the communities that I love and care about. I am very grateful for the wonderful work that they do, the care they show, and the strength they provide.

Please do encourage me if you see me training, and any support on the day would be absolutely welcomed.
