London to Brighton Cycle 2018 · 16 September 2018 ·

In September, a super team of Leicester's Hospitals Neonatal and Maternity staff got on their bikes, took on the London-to-Brighton cycling challenge and totally smashed it!

Story

The Neonatal Unit at Leicester's hospitals is the lead centre for the Central Newborn Network (CNN) we take babies from Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, and Lincolnshire with additional babies arriving from the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

The neonatal service is a dynamic, evolving service that is part of the largest maternity service in the UK. We are the only neonatal service to combine medical and surgical neonatal intensive care, a regional cardiac service and the second largest ECMO service in the world within one Trust and admit over 1000 babies and deliver over 11,000 cot days care annually.

We hope to help raise funds for the future care of these babies.
