I was suposed to do the Great South run back in Oct, however I got Tendonitis in my foot and it was not possible for me to participate. I was unable to run for 6 weeks ( any of you who have the running bug will know this is hard- I was devastated- especially as training was going so well!) Anyway I have moved on....

I am now in training for the Brighton half Marathon in Feb.

all donations will go to the stroke association and you will have noticed I have added 3 more miles to the challenge to make things more interesting and to test my body for the ultimate goal of Marathon NEXT YEAR!

To all those who supported my training and sponsored me for the great south run- this is for u!!! Thank you so much! I have lost 3 stone and can run further than I ever imagined already!

Now for the bit about why I have chosen the stroke association...

I have chosen to run for The Stroke Association as my Grandma suffered a large stroke a number of years back and has struggled ever since. It changes one's life immensely, often making sufferers very dependant on others for a time (if not forever) and therefore incredibly vulnerable- People effected by strokes have to be very dedicated, brave and strong- as do their families and those caring for them. It's a terrifying experience and totally out of their control. Rehab for sufferers is vital and unfortunately uses many resources and therefore is expensive, if fast action is taken however it can make all the difference! So Grandma, kids and everyone else effected-this is for all of you!
