Nicole's Triathlon Fundraising

AJ Bell London Triathlon 2016 · 6 August 2016 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So...it's really happening. I'm undertaking a triathlon. My first ever triathlon. I'm a little bit anxious about the whole procedure and frequently envision getting stuck in my wetsuit, or losing my trainers, or generally being overwhelmed by my lack of ignorance regarding triathlon etiquette.
But I'm also super excited to be working towards something this scary and unfamiliar. Athletic or fit has never been in my lexicon. I'd never do a marathon (dodgy knees and bored easily), but a triathlon sounded doable (just). I've opted for the sprint distance - 750m swim, 20k bike ride and 5k run and will be taking part in the AJ Bell triathlon on August 6th 2016.
This page is raising money for the Alzheimer's Society, a cause close to my heart after my Grandad suffered with dementia and came to understand just how much care, and patience and awareness is required to support the people and the families affected by this disease. Any donations, big or small, are very much welcomed and appreciated!
I can't promise I'll think of you as I cross the finish line (eating a roast dinner and lying on the floor will be priorities), but I'm incredibly grateful for the motivation you'll provide in getting me there. Thank you!
