Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Not long ago, life as I knew it changed forever as I felt my mum take her last breath in my arms. It is the hardest most painful experience of mine and my family’s lives. My mum was an incredible lady, very strong and full of life and love,  she was a single mother who devoted her life to her children.

Throughout her illness she never complained, still laughed, danced and made jokes, you would sometimes forget she was poorly... up until a few months before she passed We watched her slowly deteriorate and become very week and very ill, this was incredibly difficult to watch, at that point Mum had to go into the Hospice.

Marie Curie Hospice is an amazing place with amazing selfless people who dedicate themselves to those with a terminal illness. All the staff there give incredible care to those suffering from the illness and their families. Mum was looked after brilliantly, they took care of pain relief, would cook any meal, or just sit and talk to her, there was also a small bed in the room so we could stay and be with her anytime.

As well as mum, in a short space of time I lost my uncle who I was extremely close too and grandma to the same awful disease and the hospice were amazing at looking after them all.

My reason for doing this is not only I want to give back , but I would like to think anybody who is going through a similar situation can be at ease and know they can get this support and care.

So I will be taking on three challenges to help raise money for the hospice and those suffering. The first is Ben Nevis, next a Skydive and the last one, the most mental and physical challenge yet........I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2023. For all of these events, all together I need to raise £5250.

So please support in any way you can , any donation is hugely appreciated.

These familys really do need any comfort and support possible...thank you so much ❤️

Nikki

Thank you, God bless you and Keep Smiling.
