Story

Those of you that know me will be aware that since 2009 I have been cycling for Help for Heroes. During this time I've cycled from Portsmouth to Paris via the Normandy beaches, to the 'Bridge Too Far' at Arnhem, and from Paris to London. I've also taken part in single day rides. In 2014 friends from Willingham Wheels joined him on a route from Willingham to Blackheath in 2015 rode 100 miles overnight from Colchester to Windsor and in 2016 as part of a team from Willingham Wheels will rode nearly 100 miles via the Imperial War Museum at Duxford to the Imperial War Museum in London.

This year it's time for something a little bit different. The brain child of a great friend of mine & Ex-Royal Engineer Steve Craddock, The Great Kent Cycle Ride is a 3 day event which will take me over 200 miles from Chatham to Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Brands Hatch, Folkstone, Dover, Cliffsend, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Faversham and back to Chatham.

The event is co-ordinated by the Kent Sports Trust fundraising in support of Help for Heroes.

While the UK Services role in Afghanistan has drawn to a close, the support for our wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, veterans and their families continues to be a lifetime commitment and therefore fundraising to support the work of Help for Heroes is as important now as it was when the charity first began in 2007.

Please help me to help them and donate what you can.

Thank you for all your support.
