I am taking part in the West Coast Bike Ride for Velindre Cancer Centre  in September this year. It is a 600 kilometre bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles.  All monies raised will go to Velindre and help with the amazing work they do.  They provide services to over 1.5 million people across South Wales and beyond treating over 5000 new referrals  and around 50,000 outpatients each year. The 670 staff treat patients and their families with the best possible care and treatment.

I am taking part because  like most families our lives have been touched by cancer and centres like Velindre need as much support as possible to keep supporting patients and their families.

I have raised money in the past for the NSPCC another very deserving charity  I have climbed Kilimanjaro ,  Everest Base Camp  and  Machu Picchu. 

I  am not an experienced  Cyclist but have decided to rise to the challenge. The  training is tough and I already have a few bumps and bruises. I am determined to complete this bike ride and raise as much money as I possibly can.
