Many kids weren't as lucky as I was to grow up with loving parents who encouraged and supported me. Most of my friends all had aspitation and ambition and believed in themselves. In 2010 over 3 million kids grew up in a household where nobody has ever worked. Many start to abuse alcohol, drugs and get into trouble with the law. Prince's Trust takes the most hopeless young people and helps 84% back into education or training, turning their lives around, and giving them confidence to contirbute positively to society.

I haven't done the Great North Run for 10 years and at 42 I'm not sure what will happen, but I'm prepared to face my 2 hours of pain to help some kids that aren't as lucky as me in life. I hope you can help too.
