Myself and Blaine are going to run the RunNorwich 10k race around the streets of Norwich on August 7th 2016 in memory of my recently passed Brother Ashley Mayes. We hope to show our appreciation of the brilliant work that goes on at Papworth Hospital by raising some money for the Papworth hospital charity.

Last September my Brother Ashley Mayes was rushed to Papworth Hospital seriously ill. He spent 87 days on their critical care ward receiving life saving medical treatment. The whole time he was in the Hospital the level of care the staff showed towards Ashley and his family was stunning. Everyone from the surgeons, doctors, nurses, physios, receptionists, cleaners and more showed such an attention to detail.

The Papworth Critical care staff got Ashley well enough to come home back to Norwich and spend some very valuable time with his family before eventually losing his fight with illness. For this Ashleys family will be forever grateful.
