Story

Myself and Candy have been lucky enough to get ballot entries for the 2021 London Marathon. Due to personal circumstances we have had to defer to 2022, so an additional year of fund raising. :-)

This will be a first (and maybe only ;-) marathon for both of us and we have decided to raise funds for CJD treatment/cure: A very cruel, fast progressing prion disease that my dad passed away from in 2020.

Please support us to find a cure for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). There is currently no cure but every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. We aim to raise funds to support the use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with CJD. The first patient was treated at UCLH in October 2018.
