Greater Manchester Marathon 2013 · 28 April 2013 ·

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Come rain or shine, on the 28 April 2013, the combined physical prowess of Ahoy and Fourth Day will join together to take part in the Greater Manchester Marathon.

David Newton will be aiming to complete his first marathon while Paul Bailey, Jason Fleming, Lizzie Wood and Nikki Scrivener aim to keep Dave company along the way by running the Relay Team Challenge alongside him.

We are incredibly proud to be competing in the marathon to raise money for Christie’s, one of the UK’s leading experts in cancer treatment, research and education. Any part we can play in supporting research into a disease that has touched all of our lives in some way will be fantastic.

We also aim to have fun and get fit along the way. Our morning running club is well underway and the vision of us dragging ourselves around the streets in hats, gloves and tights (that’s mainly Dave actually) is bringing joy to the people of Heaton Moor. Look out for pics and updates on our blogs or on Twitter as we count down to the big day.

And so we turn to clients and friends of Ahoy and Fourth Day for support. Any sponsorship you feel you could give us would be hugely appreciated and can be given on our Just Giving page: http://www.justgiving.com/teams/CreativeCollective. We promise to post deeply unflattering pictures if we manage to achieve our goal.

Thanks!

Dave, Paul, Jason, Lizzie and Nikki
