Sorry for the long post in advance!!! So not many people know but as a family we had some devastating news last December. My amazing Mum was sadly diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. When you hear them immortal words it completely destroys you to the core. You question everything. Why us? Why now? Why my Mum? Well today we got the unbelievable news Mum's responding well to chemo and her tumor is dropping in size so fingers crossed we are getting to the light and the end of the darkest tunnel we ever had to face. My mum has been absolutely unbelievable throughout the whole thing!! While many other patients was planning their funeral while they had their chemo my Mum's planning a wig cancer clear party! She has had some amazing support via The Christie Hospital and also a Charity called Maggie's. Its maybe not as well known as other charities but what they have done to help my mum and us all as a family I will forever be in dept to them. So for the fun part. As Mine and my Mum's favorite song is "walk 500 miles" on the 10th of May 2020 try to walk, run or hack 500 miles between us and for each mile we do donate a pound to Maggie's. it would mean a great deal to not only me and my family but for anyone who has every gone through this.
