Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You may know that Alex and simon have already raised a considerable sum for UK and international good causes. Look at www.nomadrush.eu to see what Alex and Simon have already achieved.
Over the Easter weekend 2010 Alex and Simon DID attempt to walk the 82 miles of the Essex Way - all the way from Epping to Harwich NON-STOP.
SADLY - as their attempt followed some heavy rain the 'footpaths' accross ploughed fields were somewhat heavy going & it took more out of them they they would have liked! Simon keeled over at 60 miles after 28 hours, Alex managing 75 miles in about 34 hours before the agony from his cantankerous knee become too much.
BUT NEVER FEAR - The Nomads with various Nomad buddies will be re-attempting the walk the weekend of the 11th September & SWEAR that it will not defeat them this time!
Obviously they will need to pause briefly to water the nettles or to eat Kendal Mint cake but this is essentially a NON-STOP challenge. No overnight rests, no camping , pubs or B&BS, no cars, pushbikes, rollerblades or jetpacks this time - just Shank's pony (which means their legs, for anyone not brought up in the UK).
PLEASE DONATE!
