Fourteen years ago I decided to run a marathon. On the day, Norrie thought he would tag along. We've never felt the urge to do another until now! Inspired by some friends who've done marathon runs this year, we are aiming to complete the distance over the weekend of 2nd/3rd October here in Shetland and thought it would be good to use the opportunity to raise some money for a good cause.

For over 20 years as a Traidcraft fair trader I've encouraged people to buy fair trade products to ensure producers receive a fair price for their work. Trade should benefit everyone but global trade exploits the poor and feeds the rich. It traps people in poverty. With your support, Traidcraft can continue to work towards a future where everyone gets a fair income for their work, no matter where they live. Due to Covid my opportunities for selling goods and promoting. Fair Trade have been limited for the last 18 months.

For a bit of fun, if you include with your donation a guess of our combined finishing times, i.e. my time plus Norrie's time, then I'll give a bag of fair trade goodies to the person whose guess is closest to the correct time
