We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 16 September 2016, North will be taking part in the OSCAR Dragon Boat Race to raise money for lifesaving research into childhood cancers and immune diseases.

The OSCAR campaign is a fundraising partnership which unites the international shipping community to raise vital funds for Great Ormand Street Hospital and its research partner, the Institute of Child Health.

The campaign is led by Phil Parry, Chairman of Spinnaker Consulting Ltd, whose son Oscar was diagnosed with leukaemia at just three years old and over five years, received life-saving transplants at Great Ormand Street Hospital.

Oscar was nominated to become the first patient ever in the UK to receive a stem cell transplant. He is living proof of the importance of pioneering research. For more information, please visit: www.gosh.org/events-and-appeals/appeals/oscar/background-oscar-campaign

Every penny raised will help to fund ground-breaking new research into childhood disease, so that the hospital's researchers and clinicians can save even more lives of children facing illnesses like leukaemia.

We are sure you will agree that this is a fantastic cause.
