Story

The annual NW ChildLine Ball is next taking place at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel, Manchester on Saturday 4th March 2017. The theme of the evening will be 'Cool Britannia.'

We are so pleased to announce that the 2016 Ball raised an incredible £215,000 for the NSPCCs ChildLine Service in the North West of England. This is enough money to answer 53,750 calls to the ChildLine service or to pay to train 134 ChildLine Counsellors!

The Ball was held to celebrate 30 years of the ChildLine Service and guests were entertained by Opera Singer, Janette Monroe, Magician & Illusionist; Andrew Green, The Voice 2016 finalist Kevin Simm and 80s pop sensation; Bananarama.

The Ball committee are always trying to beat what was raised in previous years and would love it if you could help by sparing a few pounds to boost our total. The children that you will help cannot thank you themselves but please know that you will help to change their lives for the better.

Thank you so much in advance for your generosity

Michael Josephson MBE - (Chairman of the NW ChildLine Ball Committee) and the Ball Committee themselves

ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC
