BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·
We've Done it! thanks to all of our Donators - Robert is running in Black and White, But keep coming and keep donating the race is soon. Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page! As we are near to race time Robert has cut out the Yellow strip and will lift the black and white scarf at the finish line if we beat £2000 now so come on make him suffer for St Oswald's.
We, The Nut Runners, are running for St Oswald's Hospice in the North East. Why are we called the Nut Runners?
Well mainly as we are nuts to be running the 13.1miles of the Great North Run and partly because we were trying to relate this and working for Hydratight where of course we know everything there is to know about Nuts! (one of Robert's jokes.)
It's time the Premiership smile was wiped off Robert's face so please help us:
If we raise the full £1,500 then Robert, an avid, lifetime Sunderland fan, will run the race in a NEWCASTLE UNITED SHIRT!!! This, we think you will agree, has to be achieved and photographed as bribery for years to come!!
If we raise £2000 he will run in the wonderful new yellow away top.
If we raise £3000 he will cross the line with a Newcastle scarf raised above his head.
St Oswald's Hospice is located in Newcastle and looked after our colleague Ian Templeton,as he fought with cancer. Ian worked at Hydratight as a Field Technician for several years and was an avid Newcastle fan.
