I can't imagine the horror refugees endure when they flee their home countries in search of somewhere safe to live. The UK is home to 1% of the 27.1 million refugees displaced across the world. We could and should do more. 

At a precarious and vulnerable time in people's lives, the UK asylum system is complex and difficult to navigate. Organisations like The Scottish Refugee council offer support to people in need of refugee protection. They help refugees to rebuild their lives and stand with people seeking protection. I hope you'll join me in supporting them.
