In October 2022,  we will be taking on Ultra X Jordan to raise money for James' Place Charity:

• Ultra X Jordan is a c.250km ultramarathon that takes place over 5 days in Wadi Rum 
• Wadi Rum, known also as the Valley of the Moon, is a sandstone and desert region in the south of Jordan
• The event will see us run 40-70km each day across a desert and on a course that takes us past historic sites, through wadis and over sand dunes
• Temperatures are expected to reach up to c.35 degrees during the day before likely falling as low as c.10 degrees at night
  
• Each night, we will camp in the desert before rising early to begin the next stage

You may wonder why we are taking part in such an event. As men in our late 20s, we are all too aware of the tragic rise in suicide cases among young people and young men in particular. Suicide is the leading cause of death among men under 50 and there has been a significant increase in demand for mental health services in recent years. 

All three of us believe that no one should face a crisis alone and we hope that by taking part in this event we can play a small part in supporting James' Place and the incredible work it does helping those in need.

In particular, Felix will be running in memory of his friend, John Montgomery. John was a confident and outgoing young man who brought joy to everyone he met and who leaves a giant hole in the hearts of those he left behind.
